The military spokesperson for the the armed wing of Hamas Abu Obaida, stated that "Netanyahu and the Israeli occupation forces bear full responsibility for the deaths of the prisoners, as they deliberately obstructed any prisoner exchange deal for narrow interests, and intentionally killed dozens of them through direct airstrikes."

In a message posted on his Telegram channel, Abu Obaida added, "We want to make it clear to everyone that following the incident in Nuseirat, new instructions have been issued to the fighters guarding the prisoners regarding how to handle them if the Occupation army approaches their location."

"Netanyahu’s insistence on freeing the prisoners through military pressure instead of negotiating a deal will result in their return to their families in coffins, and their families must choose between their return as dead or alive,” he concluded.
